Represents a handle to a large character object.

static Clob from(Publisher<? extends CharSequence> p)

Creates a new Clob wrapper that is backed by a Publisher of CharSequence or its subtypes. The wrapper subscribes and cancels the subscription immediately on discard().

Parameters:

p - the backing Publisher of CharSequence.

Returns:

the Clob wrapper

stream

Publisher<CharSequence> stream()

Returns the content stream as a Publisher emitting CharSequence chunks.

The content stream can be consumed ("subscribed to") only once. Subsequent consumptions result in a IllegalStateException.

Once subscribed, canceling the subscription releases resources associated with this Clob.

Returns:

a Publisher emitting CharSequence chunks.

discard

Publisher<Void> discard()

Release any resources held by the Clob when not subscribing to the stream content.

Returns:

a Publisher that termination is complete
